WordForests
Privacy Policy
How WordForests collects, uses, protects, and removes account, learning, and billing data.
Human-reviewed for launch - Effective May 16, 2026
Account data
WordForests uses account records, authentication identifiers, profile details, and session data to provide secure access, keep preferences in sync, and protect the service from misuse.
Learning data
Learning preferences, course activity, review events, submitted answers, dictionary contributions, and progress data are used to provide spaced repetition, course discovery, and learner history. Review analytics stay private to the learner unless a future sharing feature asks for explicit consent.
Billing data
Plan status, checkout records, billing portal links, provider customer identifiers, invoices, and payment events are processed through Stripe where billing is enabled. WordForests stores the subscription state needed to resolve access and entitlements.
Retention and controls
Account deletion is designed to remove or anonymize user-owned settings, enrollments, review sessions, review states, review events, and provider records where the service no longer needs them. Records that must be retained for security, billing, abuse prevention, or legal compliance are limited to that purpose.
Privacy requests
Privacy questions, export requests, and deletion requests can be sent through the public contact channel. Requests that affect account data may require identity verification before action is taken.
